Book Review: Need to Find You

need to find you“Need to Find You,” is a gritty, character-driven thrill ride and an exploration of corruption. One thing I love about Souza’s writing is the backdrop he creates for each of his characters, leaving their choices relegated to the paths they’ve walked in the past. This novel was no exception, and no one gets off without a bombshell of a backstory dropping somewhere along the way.

Yaz was by far my favorite character — a slightly psychotic drummer / martial artist who gets caught up in a scandal due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I haven’t seen a character this interesting since Stieg Larsson’s Lisbeth Salander. She demands your attention, and she certainly got mine.

Despite the many flaws and atrocities of those we follow through the story there are glimpses of redemption, and Souza deftly weaves these through the narrative. The literary tie-ins were an especial treat.

For anyone looking for a dark thriller, make sure to add this to your list. Available now for Pre-order, this drops March 15th, from Kindle Press.
